What Is the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor?
Ford is expanding its F-150 lineup to feature the all-new Tremor. This truck is engineered and built to tackle the off-road obstacles and leave the competition trembling. Here’s a look at some of the best features you’ll find on the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor.
Exterior Style
The all-new Tremor will come in three versions, each with standard features like off-road running boards. Its signature hood and grill with a blacked-out Ford oval framed by LED Active Orange headlights give it a bold stare. Unique trim materials and Raptor-style bash plates add style and function. Active Orange highlighted badging will come on the bed sides, tailgate, tow hooks, and fenders adding to its distinctive style.
The Tremor will roll on 18-inch matte-finish wheels with 33-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires. Now the wheelbase is one-inch wider for more stability, giving you confidence tackling rugged terrain.
Performance
You’ll get Ford’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine and four-wheel-drive standard on every Tremor. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission this powertrain projects 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. It has a tow rating of up to 10,900 pounds a max payload of up to 1,885 pounds in a 5.5-foot bed.
The Tremor features the Ford Trail Toolbox, a suite of off-road assist features. Trail One-Pedal Drive makes rock crawling easier in harsh trail situations where you normally would use both pedals. Instead, the system will activate braking proportionally as you release the accelerator. Trail Turn Assist applies braking to the inside rear wheel to help you reduce your steering radius in tight, low-speed turns.
You’ll also get selectable drive modes to tailor your ride to the road. Normal mode is for you every day driving. Sport mode lets you dial in a more thrilling ride. Tow/Haul is perfect for towing a trailer. Eco mode is great for those long highway miles. Slippery mode and Deep Snow/Sand are useful on the beach or in the rain or snow. Mud/Rut mode and Rock Crawl mode are your off-road weapons.
The Tremor features a 2.0-kiloWatt Pro Power Onboard generator with an outlet in the bed. Now you can plug in a generator, electric tools, and more wherever you go. A revamped suspension system has you sitting an inch higher up front and 1.5 inches higher in the rear. A standard front locking differential and an available Torsen limited-slip differential improve performance off-road with increased suspension travel, and approach, break-over, and departure angles.
Interior Style
Inside the Tremor, you’ll find the signature Active Orange throughout, including unique seat trim and stitching, Tremor detailing, and special material finishes for the instrument panel, doors, and center console. A 12-inch touch screen in the center stack with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto syncs all your smart devices. You’ll send and receive calls, texts, access navigation, or play your favorite music hands-free. Active Orange accents an interior loaded with Tremor detailing, including unique seat trim with special stitching, materials, and finishes for the instrument panel, center console, and doors.
